  offering friendship and one-to-one support to older people in their own homes.

  serving an excellent choice of high quality hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks in a welcoming, friendly and comfortable environment

• Campaigning and Influencing: working with and on behalf of older people on issues that matter to them e.g. pensions, benefits, age discrimination etc.
• Comments, Compliments and Complaints: help us to make sure that the service you receive from us meets your needs and expectations.
• Counselling: confidential and free counselling sessions for older people
• Courses and Activities:

  an attractive and imaginative choice of short courses and activities available at our modern and comfortable Learning and Resources Centre.

• Day Centres: offering support and friendship to frailer older people, those who are housebound and those who feel isolated in some way.

        

• Fundraising: help us to raise funds to provide services/activities, with and on behalf of older people in Bolton.
• "Handyman" (Practical Support) Service:

  for good quality, reliable and affordable help with decorating, gardening and small repairs.

• Information and Advice Service: free, confidential advice on all issues affecting older people.

 

• Insurance and Other Products: home and contents, motor, motor breakdown and travel insurance; gas and electricity packages etc. for older people.
• Intergenerational Partnership Projects: breaking down age barriers through intergenerational working
• Legal Advice Service: free, confidential advice on a range of legal matters.
• Leisure Activities: walking clubs offering a choice of demanding and less demanding walks, swimming club etc.
• Lunch and Leisure Clubs:

  a borough-wide network of clubs providing relaxed social contact, a good quality and good value meal and a choice of activities.

• Room Hire: at our conveniently located Ashburner Street and Learning and Resources Centres.
• Talks and Promotions: if you'd like to know more about our work and services, we'll arrange for someone to give an informal talk/presentation to your group.
• Volunteering Opportunities: find out how you can join our team of first class volunteers.
• Wheelchair Hire: short-term loans.
• Will-Making Service: available at a specially negotiated price.
