TUTOR and ACTIVITY LEADER
Location Learning and Resources Centre, Cross Street, Farnworth
Role Our modern, welcoming and purpose-built centre offers an attractive
programme of short courses and activities, including computers (at various
levels), digital photography, internet, family history, drawing and painting,
crafts, music keyboard, dancing, keep fit and more!
We need extra help to run some of these but we're also keen to add new
courses and activities. So, if you have a particular hobby or special
interest and are willing to share your knowledge, skills and passion
for this, with others, we'd love to hear from you.
We're particularly keen to provide the following activities: more keep fit
and exercise, singing/choral sessions, music and literature appreciation,
floral art and anything else you'd like to suggest.
Time Commitment 1 - 2 hours each week, anytime between 9.30am - 3.30pm, Monday -
Friday.

Role We have a network of popular Lunch and Leisure Clubs throughout
the borough of Bolton. You will meet and greet those attending
the clubs, help to organise activities, prepare and serve light
refreshments and lunches and help to maintain hygiene standards.

Lunch and Leisure Club Organisers x 2
We currently have vacancies for Organisers in two of our established and popular lunch and leisure clubs: one in Harwood and one in Bolton town centre. Working with a small team of volunteers, you’ll be responsible for planning, ordering, preparing and serving a good quality meal, once a week, to a group of older people who live in the vicinity of each club. The meal is usually followed by a choice of leisure activities.
This is an extremely rewarding and satisfying role. These vacancies have arisen due to the impending retirement of the current organisers, who have each given excellent service over many years.
To undertake this role, ideally you’ll have the ability to lead and work as part of a team, be reliable, have good communications skills and a friendly personality. Some previous catering experience will be helpful but isn’t essential, as training will be provided.

CRAFTS ASSISTANT (DAY CARE)
Location Little Lever Day Centre, Kershaw Avenue, Little Lever
Role To support small groups of frailer older people to take part in a range of
craftwork e.g. paper crafts, card making, needlecraft etc at our friendly
and comfortable day centre.
Time Commitment 2 hours each week (10.00am -12.00noon or 1.00pm-3.00pm) Tuesdays

AROMATHERAPY AND REFLEXOLOGY
Our Aromatherapy and Reflexology services are available to all older people(50+) and by appointment only.
We are looking for help on a weekly basis from experienced and qualified therapists to volunteer their time and talents on a Wednesday morning. Other times and dates may also be available. This is an excellent opportunity for people already qualified in either Aromatherapy or Reflexology who wish to maintain and enhance their skills. We will pay the insurance costs of volunteers who join us on this very popular and highly regarded service.

LINE DANCING TEACHER
Are you interested in keeping fit and supporting older people to stay active?
If so, we’re looking for a volunteer Line Dancing teacher to lead an experienced group of dancers for our weekly session at Elderdale Community Centre in Breightmet. No formal dance teacher qualifications are needed but line dancing experience is necessary. Alongside a commitment to the well-being of older people, a friendly personality and a sense of fun are essential!
